Classes Adults Hamptons

Hamptons Summer Camp, Summer 2025 Dates, July 14-18, July 21-24

Happy to announce our dates for our Hamptons summer camp tucked away in the beautiful town of Bridgehampton, close to Sag Harbor, Southampton, East Hampton and Water Mill. We will be in session the week of July 14-18 and July 21-24.

Our goal is simple. We seek to inspire every student to new heights in their learning, while having a whole lot of fun along the way!

You will have the opportunity explore the world of music (Rock Camp, Jazz Workshop, Adult Music), the world of art and ceramics (Diving into Art, Explore Ceramics, Adult Explore Ceramics), the world of theater (Theater Workshop), and mouthwatering culinary classes (Feast in the Kitchen).

As we have done for over ten years, kids, teens, and adults will have an amazing opportunity to learn from master musicians, artists, and actors who are doing both innovative work in their chosen fields and who also love to share their knowledge.

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student, and whether you are a kid, teen, or adult, you always have a seat at the table at our camps and classes.

See this July at our summer camp in Bridgehampton!

Adult Pottery Classes in the Hamptons

Tucked away in the heart of the Hamptons, in the town of Bridgehampton, is Explore Ceramics, a pottery class dedicated to teaching the art of the ceramics to adults and students of all ages. Our adult class in the Hamptons happens from 5-6 pm on the weekdays and is open to beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Students learn to create new works using our pottery wheels and also learn hand building techniques.

Here are just a couple benefits of creating with clay!

  1. Tap into your Creativity

It’s one thing to have an idea and quite another to make your idea a reality. Our teachers in Explore Ceramics in the Hamptons will guide you step-by-step in reaching your goal by showing you the proper techniques. Then it’s all about practice and refining those techniques. Yes, it takes a bit of patience, but it all pays off when your work is fired in our kiln and you see the results.

  2. There is Something Meditative about Clay

There is something relaxing, fun and even therapeutic when one works with a chunk of clay and starts to create new forms and shapes. Our classes are very social and there is a light and friendly atmosphere. Pottery is like yoga for your hands, and there is something meditative about the whole process. Many studies have shown that working with clay can reduce your cortisol level, a stress hormone.

It lets you focus on the task at hand (no pun intended) and let go of stress and other distractions. It promotes mindfulness and has a meditative effect when you find yourself fully absorbed in your art. In fact, some studies have shown that working with clay can physically reduce your levels of cortisol, a hormone associated with stress. So come as you are to Explore Ceramics in the Hamptons, put on an apron, and let’s dive into the world of clay.
