What Makes us Different
Expert Instruction
All of our teachers are working professionals in their field who also love to teach and share their knowledge. Our instructors are graduates from Manhattan School of Music, Bard, Julliard, and have worked/performed at the Lincoln Center, Blue Note, Culinary Institute of Education, Broadway and Off Broadway productions.
2.Less Theory and the Fastest Way From Point A to Point B
When you are working professional in your field, whether it’s art, music, dance, theater, or culinary, you have to make practical decisions to get the job done. For instance, a musician can teach someone to read music or improvise and how to follow a series of steps to take you there. It all makes sense on paper, however there very practical strategies that will help you to read when you are in a recording studio and you have not had a rehearsal that one only learns through experience.
3. Daily Faculty Meetings on Every Student’s Progress
At the end of every day, all of our faculty meet for a short meeting where we talk through every student’s progress for that day. Is he or she getting what they need? Is the student being challenged? Are there any changes we can make as instructors that will push a student out of his comfort zone but in a way where the student feels confident? We talk through a number of ideas and topics to ensure every student is growing and having fun along the way!
